Apicius International School of Hospitality • Travel Advice

While each student is responsible for booking their own travel, Study Abroad Italy has made arrangements with Waldorf Travel of California to offer Apicius students the lowest available student-priced airline tickets. The agency is familiar with our student requirements and stays informed of our arrival and departure dates. Be sure to tell them you are a Study Abroad Italy student when calling.

We encourage students to book their flights WELL IN ADVANCE - at least 90 days prior to departure. This is the only way to be assured of travel dates and to benefit from low costs, as the number of student-priced tickets is limited.

We recommend flying into Amerigo Vespucci Airport in Florence. Although there are no direct flights into Florence, this is the most convenient option.

Galileo Galilei Airport in Pisa is another option. Pisa's airport is directly connected to Florence’s central train station by both train and bus. The trip takes 1 hour.

Arriving in Rome may save on airfare but requires almost half a day of transit to Florence by taxi and train. The same is true for Milan.
